Splendid in the summer months, the West Country has its own special charm out of season. The scenery is majestic in ever changing colours during Autumn, Winter and Spring. Outstanding countryside and East Devon Heritage Coastal Walk along the cliffs is stunning, especially when stopping at the village hostelries for a leisurely lunch near the log fire.
The weather is particularly mild, since East Devon is a sheltered area, with crisp fresh morning and warmer daytime temperatures than most other parts of the country. Many of the cottages have log fires and nearly all have central heating.
Life is sweet, the pace is slow, everyone deserves a break and what better place to visit? Appreciate a seaside town out of season and live with the locals, get to know the characters and find out what its really like to live life in the slow lane! Take in the exhilarating fresh sea air, peace and tranquility, which go to aid a good nights sleep and relaxing atmosphere.
