About Our Properties
Sweetcombe Cottage Holidays
We aim to provide you with every comfort you would expect to make your holiday a success. Our cottages are well equipped, very much home from home. We pride ourselves that our properties meet the exacting standards of today’s holidaymaker.
Our standard inventory is available on request.
Equipment
All the properties have gas or electric cookers, fridges, colour TV, iron and ironing board. Under “Services” only additional facilities and equipment (e.g. tumble driers) are mentioned.
Bed Linen
Bed linen is specified under “services”. Some properties include this in their rental cost and at others it is available for hire. In all instances, pillows, blankets or duvets are provided. Bed linen can be hired at £18.00 per double set and £14.00 per single set – please note that when it is hired beds will not always be made up. We do not supply bedding for cots.
Baby Equipment - Cots and high chairs
Some of our properties provide cots, high chairs and stair gates. This will be stated in the brochure description in the services paragraph.
Quality Assurance
We aim to offer good calibre property for the enjoyment of our guests and make regular inspections to check that our exacting criteria are being maintained. The owners of our properties support our high standards and some have requested an assessment by The English Tourism Council to support our descriptions of their properties and to give further assurance to you, our guests.
The English Tourism Council uses a one to five star rating. Reflecting our reputation for sound, good quality holiday accommodation, the ratings achieved for properties in this brochure are all three star or higher.
3 STARS: Very good quality. Very good standard of maintenance and decoration. Ample space and good quality furnishings.Double beds with all round access. Microwave.
4 STARS: Excellent quality and attention to details. Washing machine and drier.
5 STARS: Exceptional quality. High level of décor, fixtures and fittings. Excellent accessories and personal touches.
The ratings for individual properties have been attained following a visit by The English Tourism Council’s assessor who will have confirmed the property meets an extensive list of minimum requirements which concurs with our own expections for the homes we offer.
