Built in 1640 and originally the site of the local chapel, Chapel Cottage has been owned by the same family for generations, once forming part of the Sand Estate in Sidbury, home to the Huyshe family for over 500 years.
The cottage would suit anyone wanting a quiet relaxing, "get away from it all" holiday. With its inglenook fireplace for cosy winter fires, large garden for al fresco summer meals, masses of daffodils and primroses in the spring and spectacular views of countryside which glows gold in the autumn, Chapel Cottage is welcoming whichever season you choose for your visit.
ACCOMMODATION: Large entrance hall. Cosy sitting room with original exposed beams, inglenook fireplace for log fires, low window with window seat overlooking the garden and surrounding countryside. Door to garden. Dining room with oak furniture, serving hatch to kitchen, exposed beams and ornamental inglenook fireplace (not open). Spacious, fitted shaker style kitchen with door to garden. Large shower room with power shower and separate W.C. On the first floor are two bedrooms, one double and one twin each having exposed beams and delightful far reaching country views. Bathroom with W.C. Large lawn garden surrounding the cottage with ample parking for four cars. Garden furniture and parasol.
ESSENTIAL INFORMATION: T.V. with freeview. DVD, radio/CD/cassette player. Dishwasher. Washing machine, electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer. High chair. Both duvets or blankets and pillows for all beds. Bed linen available to hire. For 2011 bed linen will be included. Open log fire, logs are included. Efficient night storage heating throughout, electricity included. Private parking. Pets welcome charged at £20.00 per week. No smoking. Sat/Sat changeover.
