The Rookeries is a charming semi detached thatched cottage dating from 15th century. The cottage nestles in a quiet position in this highly sought after Village and backs onto National Trust woodland with access to a public footpath leading to the Jurassic heritage coastal footpath close by. There is an excellent rustic village pub just yards from the cottage serving lovely food and locally brewed beers for which it is renowned. The cottage is presented to an extremely high standard having been lovingly maintained and used by the owners over many years. The accommodation is beautifully furnished with tasteful colour schemes and homely touches throughout.
ACCOMMODATION:
Approached through the most attractive ornamental style patio garden and entered by a conservatory furnished with relaxing furniture seating 4 persons.  Kitchen and dining area is a spacious family area. The luxury kitchen is of a high specification with quality appliances and natural solid cherry work tops. The sitting room with exposed beams incorporates a large inglenook fireplace and modern wood burner for cosy evenings.  Stairs to first floor.  Bedroom 1 has an  antique 5' brass bed and TV. Bedroom 2 has a double bed. Both bedrooms have exposed beams and are beautifully furnished with period furnishings. Bathroom with mahogany vanity units, bath with shower and W.C.

SEPARATE ANNEXE ACCOMMODATION: Consists of sitting room/bedroom with a double  bed , en-suite shower room with W.C., small kitchen containing fridge, microwave and washing machine. This accommodation is favoured as it allows privacy between guests when needed.

Short Breaks are available from the end of September up to the final May bank holiday, or at the owners' discretion for a last minute booking at other times of the year. Unfortunately it would be most unusual for us to be in a position to consider a short break at peak holiday times, such as the October and February half terms or over the Christmas and New Year periods.
