Pebblestone Cottage is a delightful curiosity. Originally two cottages, built in about 1820, it is almost circular, covered with beach pebbles and is one of the sights of this charming unspoilt Regency seaside resort. It has appeared in prints and postcards and is featured in HRH The Prince of Wales' book, A Vision of Britain as an example of how buildings are best when built with local materials. The cottage is only 350 yards from the seafront and there are excellent shops, restaurants and gardens close by. It is a comfortable cottage with everything you need for a lovely seaside holiday.
ACCOMMODATION: Two steps down to the most delightful sitting room, beautifully furnished with many homely touches and original paintings . Dining room with oval dining table. Small but well equipped kitchen. The whole of the ground floor has terracotta tiles and scattered rugs. Stairs to first floor. Two charming bedrooms, one with double bed and one with twin beds and a view of the esplanade and the sea. Victorian style bathroom with shower over bath and W.C.
ESSENTIAL INFORMATION: Gas central heating throughout. Bed linen included. T.V. DVD. Electric cooker with ceramic hob. Fridge with ice box. Microwave. Washing machine and tumble dryer in garage (too small for a car but great if you bring bikes). Unrestricted roadside parking opposite front door. No smoking. No pets.
